The overall goal of the Urban Baboon Programme is to keep the Cape Peninsula chacma baboons wild. Baboons fulfill important ecological roles in the Cape Peninsula ecosystem which contribute towards the preservation of biodiversity. The Cape Peninsula is one of the most biodiverse places in the world. Biodiversity is a major contributor towards the economy and livelihoods, therefore, we need to do everything we can to protect it.
