PURPOSE
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Avifaunal Project by managing payroll documentation, HR data administration and ensuring the accurate maintenance of Health & Safety documentation to support operational compliance.
JOB OUTPUTS
Payroll Administration & Processing
- Collect, verify and consolidate timesheets from project sites to populate the master wage list
- Capture and process leave applications and respond to payroll-related queries
- Process and print monthly payslips for management approval before payment release
- Liaise regularly with the Project Manager regarding staffing changes and payroll variables
Human Resources Data Administration
- Maintain and update employee records and databases
- Ensure personnel files are complete, accurate and compliant with legislative requirements
- Coordinate approved training interventions
Health & Safety & General Administration
- Maintain Health & Safety files and ensure all documentation is current, compliant, and audit-ready.
- Assist with Injury on Duty (IOD) administration and reporting processes.
- Manage weekly filing of attendance registers and maintain an efficient filing system.
- Compile administrative and project-related reports as required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Proven experience in an administrative and/or payroll administration role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety administration processes will be advantageous
- Valid driver’s license will be advantageous

- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with staff, management, and external providers.
