PURPOSE

To deliver a range of environmental consulting services that meet and exceed client expectations.

JOB OUTPUTS

  • Performing Environmental Management consulting services on projects
    • Performing ECO, audit or other environmental management roles on the project
    • Development and review of specialist reports to clients
    • Build and maintain positive client relationships
    • Prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations in consultation with the Service Line Manager.
  • Providing Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) services
    • Coordination project kick-off meetings with Clients and relevant parties
    • Project Management of Project screening, Basic Assessment, Scoping-Environmental Impact Assessment, Water Use License Application, Air Emissions License Application, Waste License Application, Environmental Management Plans
    • Project management of multi-disciplinary specialist teams and external specialists, consultants, service providers including development and maintenance of a database of external service providers
    • Maintain a database of subcontractors and specialists and handle proposals, purchase orders, invoicing, and payments.
    • Conducting professional review and assessment of Specialist Reports
    • Liaise with Competent Authorities regarding Environmental Authorizations and/or Permit Applications
    • Preparation and submission of client related project invoicing and ensure client payments

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Environmental Management related Honours Degree or higher
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ working experience within the environmental management sector
  • Minimum 1- 3 years’ EAP working experience– proof of evidence (POE) required
  • Good understanding of the infrastructure development sector
  • Excellent understanding of NEMA and EIA Regulations
  • Excellent reputation within the industry
  • SACNASP and EAP registration
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
  • Previous experience working where accuracy and time management have been required

  • Customer orientation: ability to engage positively with new and existing customers with a focus on understanding and meeting their dynamic needs
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
