CALL FOR COMMENTS: DRAFT PROTECTED AREA MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR SHAWS PASS NATURE RESERVE

Notification of a Stakeholder Engagement Process and an invitation to the public to provide inputs and comments on the Protected Area Management Plan for the Shaw’s Pass Nature Reserve.

The protected area management plan serves as an overarching document that indicates where management intends to focus its efforts in the next ten years, and it provides the medium-term operational framework for the prioritized allocation of resources and capacity in the development and management of a nature reserve.

Management plans need to be compiled in consultation with stakeholders as prescribed by Section 39(3) of the NEM: PAA, which states that all persons who may be interested in, or affected by the management plan, are to be given the opportunity to comment on its content. Responses should be sent to NCC Environmental Services within 30 calendar days. You are also welcome to use the comment form on the website to capture your comments.
